FAQ's

When do I start?
Within one to two weeks of signing the licence and paying the licence fee of $6,850.00.

Are any other fees payable?
No. The licence fee includes all training and mentoring and the licence to operate at one of our sites.

Where will I work?
Initially you will be located at our National Headquarters at 275 George Street, Sydney CBD, or you can participate from home. From July 1st you will be working on a roster basis at either our National Headquarters or at another of our busy sites at major shopping centres around Sydney.

Will weekend or evening work be required?
Yes, you will need to be available to be rostered on weekends and during extended shopping hours – particularly during the July to October period.

Is the opportunity only available in Sydney?
At the present time; yes. However, it is highly likely that other Areas/States may become available. Please feel free to register your interest in this possibility if it may be more suitable to you.

Will I be paid a set wage each week?
No. As a licensee, you will be eligible for a generous percentage of the fees that you obtain. Therefore, the greater the effort you put in, the more you will earn.

What do I wear to work?
Business attire, no casual clothes.

When will my training be conducted?
As soon as is practical for the firm after all registrations and licence fees are received.

What equipment will I need?
Other than a mobile phone, nothing, we will provide you with a laptop and everything else you need, and training on how to use the equipment and software.

Is this a training organisation?
No. We are a national accounting firm and this is an opportunity for you to gain both an excellent income and the training and experience in the practical application of what you have learnt at University.

We are not replacing the continued professional development that you should undertake from CPA Australia or any similar organisation.

What happens when my licence expires at the end of the year?
Your arrangement with us will be finished. If you have proven to be a reliable and successful candidate, we may offer you the opportunity to join us either in a full time capacity for 2013, or as one of our franchisees.

If I later wish to purchase a taxsmart® Franchise, will any benefits accrue from being a licensee?
Yes. Obviously, you will already have some of the training and first-hand experience needed to operate a franchise and we will credit the full amount of your licence fee to the cost of your franchise fee.
